Hi everyone i m planning to do a 1 5ft planted tank in a couple of months time and i m trying to decide on which carpet plant to go for.

The only other experience i have with glosso was in my low light low fert shrimp tank and the glosso grew straight up like a normal stem plant.

This is a small green trailing plant with curly branches that form a very good looking green carpet on the tank bottom.
The leaves are small tongue shaped and petiolate meaning that the leaf has a stalk that attaches to the plant stem.
Given good care it will spread like a carpet across the aquarium floor.
I have used glossostigma elatinoides glosso often in low tech tanks as a carpet plant and it grows in very quickly.
You can cut it and replant thus making a carpet much quicker.
