Removing graphite stains from carpet. Get the lead out. Vacuum or blot up the excess. It may be necessary to increase the amount of detergent to get enough suds to create foam.

Mix 1 4 cup liquid dish detergent in 1 cup warm water. Pretest any spot removal cleaner for color transfer to the cloth or damage to the carpet in an out of the way area. Break up solids and vacuum. Vacuum up the excess.

Tilex which helped but also bleached it a little which isn t good and even glade carpet powder which just made a huge mess. My parents are going to kill me if they find out which is really not ideal. So i got graphite powder on my carpet like an idiot and now it won t come out. Don t delay waiting may cause a graphite spill to become a permanent stain.
