Soak a dryer sheet. Most of the burned on part will rinse off then use sos or scrubby to finish the job. A fabric softener sheet can be a surprising miracle worker for burnt bits we ve seen it in action. To find out we abused four stainless steel skillets by slicking them with several tablespoons of oil and heating them until it smoked and burned onto their surfaces.

Prepare your work space with an area to soak the pan a well ventilated area to work and plenty of clean water to wash and rinse it afterwards. Soak a burnt pan with soap and water and add a dryer sheet into the mix. The dryer sheet which can be substituted for a tablespoon of fabric softener will loosen the burnt on food and leave you with a shiny like new pan. Substances such as baking soda salt and toothpaste contain gritty materials that help remove built up and burnt oil without containing enough grit to damage stainless steel.

If that doesn t work try a stainless steel cleaner but read the label carefully. Wash the pan lightly with water and spray white vinegar. Try using a dryer sheet with some water in the pan. Allow it to sit for an hour.

I used the dryer sheet to scrub the extra bits and they came off right away too. Leave the pan with white vinegar for at least half an hour or a couple of hours. While it is possible to remove the oil it will take time and effort. To further solder this resin to the pans we then baked the skillets in a 500 degree oven for a few hours.

Just by running it under water about 80 percent of the burnt pieces detached. Put the pan in a plastic bag and seal with twist tie. Even the little bits of splattered burnt grease at the top of the pan came off. Then get ready to tackle that nasty burnt on stain.

Be sure to rinse thoroughly and towel dry. Rub in circular motions. That has been very successful for me. Seriously they flaked off with minimal effort on my part.

Fill the pan with warm water add a dryer sheet push it under the water to get it fully saturated and wait a few hours before using the fabric softener sheet as a scrubber as you loosen the debris.
